Faith Reflections
discussion questions
by Amy Waelchli
1. Recently my niece stayed with us for a week. She was overcome
at the blessing of trust we bestowed on her. Have you had the pleasure
to witness someone you love experience a blessing for the first time?
What was that blessing? How did the person experience that blessing and
react to it?
2. Think back to the significant people who shaped you — parents,
grandparents, neighbors, church family. How did each of them bless you?
Have you passed on that blessing yet? If yes, how? If no, then what is
holding you back?
3. Is there a common thread of blessing binding you to your
family? Our family experiences crises like any other, but we are blessed
by loyalty to one another. My family is always a safe place to land.
4. I’ve had different ‘favorite’ Bible verses in my life, each
passage blessing me with wisdom or comfort. Often God’s Word blesses me
in uncomfortable ways, calling me beyond myself and challenging me to
bless others. How has God’s Word changed, challenged, and/or blessed
your life?
Go to Coffee talk and share the ways
you are a blessing to others.
