Meet Kristina Diaz

Kristina Diaz

Kristina Diaz (left), a 24 year-old Lutheran (ELCA), recently relocated from Puerto Rico, where she grew up, to Chicago, to pursue a second degree in Graphic Design. A few months prior to the move, Kristina began in a new leadership role as co-chair for a multi-denominational, or ecumenical, young women’s group called Tirzah. This group seeks to bridge the gaps between young women and church leadership.

Her involvement in Tirzah has helped strengthen not only her faith but her connection to other strong women committed to working for justice. She says, “I have had the privilege of being part of a group of young women that have taught me about justice for women and the importance of having a space to share our own stories.”

Kristina will continue as the Lutheran (ELCA) representative for Tirzah until the fall. When her term is over, she will find a new young adult woman to take her place.
