When I had an absolutely horrific job, I wanted to quit, but couldn't because we were paying 2 mortgages at the time. I had anxiety attacks every morning before going to work. Prayer was the only thing that kept me going. Gave me strength to get through each day and God did help me find a new job and a way out.

When I was worried about losing my job in February of 2009, it was prayer that cleared my head and soothed my anxieties. When I lost my job just a week later, it was prayer that again kept me going. Each time I have felt alone, in the year and almost 4 months since I lost my job, prayer has been the force that has steadied me, kept me from coming apart at the seams, and reaffirmed that God is walking with me. He will provide.

Loved Pastor Megan's comments, including how prayer can feel "suffocating" and that at the end of the day we are all human. I appreciate God the midwestern mom. God comes to us in so many voices!
