Use the questions and ideas below to guide your reflection and conversation on this month's topic.

"Faith reflections" discussion questions by Inez Torres Davis

1. In my office I have a small vial of blessed oil and a rock with the word “Power” on it sitting on my desktop computer. I use the oil for placing a small cross on the door jamb or my forehead. The rock reminds me that the present is the only point of power. What objects can you bring to where you spend most of your day? What would these objects speak to you?

2. The mystic Catherine of Siena wrote, “Never leave the knowledge of yourself.” How do you understand this instruction? What disciplines have helped you develop knowledge of yourself?

3. Where, when, and how do your deep communications with God occur? Take a moment to jot down your answers. This list can serve as a basis for designing your sacred space.

4. As you think about an ideal sacred space, jot down the colors, textures, and sounds that currently come to your mind. Then write down or sketch out what your own sacred space would look like.
