Is there a tradition or activity you like to do for Christmas? What will you do differently this year?
My husband proposed at the candlelight service last Christmas Eve (a holiday tradition for my family and me), and we were married in August. For our first Christmas together, we were the traditional Broke Newlyweds and decided to replace presents with creating a few of our own new traditions. We ate a family-recipe Christmas Eve dinner from our wedding china and crystal, and invited friends over for champagne and hot chocolate before attending the candlelight service at our new church. It was so special to divide our most blessed night by sharing a meal we made together and hosting good friends... we've already decided to do it all over again next year. (And a surprise on Christmas morning: I unwrapped a bottle of my favorite perfume for the fourth year in a row. "Even in a lean year," he said, "a few luxuries have to be in the budget.")

I went to the print version, & still I do not get it all on the page, this means that I do not get the side to the right to print all of the words. Is there any thing that I can do to make this better? This time I even made the letters smaller, & that did not help. Please give a some help.
Thank You. Joyce

For something new this year we will give gifts of mittens, scarfs and hats to those who are in need of them and we will do this through our Low Income Ministry here in Fremont.
Posted by: Beth Meyer (Fremont, NE) Posted: 12/1/2008 10:01:19 PM Congregation: First Lutheran We keep a stash of Advent/Christmas only books and articles -- ranging from children's books up to adult level reading -- that we only pull out at this time of year. We create a fun and bonding time together as a family, and with friends, when we read and re-read favorites, and read stories or passages out loud to each other.
And of course, we always enjoy new additions to our Advent/Christmas library!
The new thing I am doing this year is gifting my two-month old great niece with a Christmas time book. She won't be able to really enjoy it for several years, but it's a start to her, and her family's, own Advent/Christmas library!
