Women of the ELCA

A tradition of faith and boldness
Women of the ELCA's purpose is to make a difference in the church, society, and the world. Our foremothers of faith have acted boldy on their faith in Jesus Christ by working for justice in their congregations and community, and supporting women's organization around the world. If you are not currently an active participant in the organization, get started today.

Knitting advocacy
At the Seventh Triennial Gathering, join thousands of women who will knit for justice. Servant opportunities at the Seventh Triennial Gathering include making quilts on site for Lutheran World Relief, knitting and sewing. Be part of knitting for justice in July!

Lutheran World Relief
Generations of Women of the ELCA have donated their time and talent to produce quilts for Lutheran World Relief. These quilts are sent around the world to bring comfort and warmth to women and children. Health kits and school kits are also a way that women help make the world a better place.
