What did you learn about yourself from the last wedding that you were involved with? Were you the bride, bridesmaid or guest?
I remember the excitement of being a Jr. bridesmaid for my sister. She has now been married 48 years and I still remember the day as if it were yesterday. My husband and I are now married 21 years. She certainly set a great example for me. Weddings are great!

Posted by: Larry Garske Posted: 5/30/2008 11:52:20 PM What really touched me while reading this cafe issue was the idea of bridesmaids thoughout our life. I thought of who was in my wedding party and who were my current "bridesmaids". They were quite different. I was young when I married and now my circle of girl friends are much more supportive and share more values with me than in my early 20's.
This concept gave me new appriciation toward the women in my life and how we choose to serve each other.

It says on it, Cafe' Stirring the Spirit within. It also has your web cite, I would like to have some of them, do you have them available?
Posted by: beverly (San Antonio, TX) Posted: 5/26/2008 10:00:24 PM The last wedding I attended my son was the ring bearer. He was almost 3 years old and was very unpredictable. Long story short, my son and the flower girl made it halfway down the aisle and then bolted off to the back of the church! Everyone thought it was hilarious, except the parents of the ring bearer and the flower girl. What I learned is that even though you can try to plan every detail things may not go as exactly planned. You have to adjust to changes that may come your way and make the best of the situation. Laughter helps. I have certainly learned this in my marriage as many changes come along.
Posted by: Nicole (Eagle Grove, IA) Posted: 5/10/2008 5:38:02 PM Congregation: Evangelical Lutheran The last wedding I was in, I was a bridesmaid for my brother and sister-in-law. I learned about myself that I like to be a caretaker-- thinking of how I can meet the needs of the bridal party, when they have so much going on in their mind. I also try to keep my mouth shut, since I am a pastor and try not to tell other bridal parties, pastors or photographers what to do! :)
