Do you buy fair trade? Have you thrown a fair trade party? What ways have you supported fair trade?
Lovely thought for the day - brilliant ways to make the day that much more special - Thanks!
Posted by: Molly (Bristol, UK) Posted: 2/14/2008 4:25:42 AM Women of the ELCA and Fair Trade make a perfect pair! The commitment of women throughout the church to support Lutheran World Relief's Fair Trade work continues to inspire us. Thanks for your ongoing commitment to raise this issue in Cafe and in Lutheran Woman Today magazine. We hope many more Women of the ELCA will log on to www.lwr.org/fairtrade to be involved!
Posted by: Brenda Meier, Lutheran World Relief (Baltimore, MD) Posted: 2/13/2008 10:01:22 AM It seems Valentine's Day is so commercialized that some people try to prove how much they love others by buying them expensive gifts. I am glad that we don't have to "buy" the love of Jesus. He loves us unconditionally and we don't have to prove our love to Him. What an awesome and amazing love to be a Christian!

Women and
water:
let's begin
At the 2005 Triennial
Convention, delegates took action that asked Women of the
ELCA to promote awareness on water issues and encouraged
synodical women’s organizations to make awareness of local
and regional water issues a priority.
To learn more about this important action and how you
can get involved, visit
Women of the ELCA's
Web site.
