Posted by: Melissa (Atlantic Beach, NC) Posted: 4/24/2007 8:36:33 PM Congregation: Shepherd of the Sea I bow my head in awe and love in that my God loves me enough to listen and to want to be my dearest friend and confidant. I Pray, I read the scriptures and find his promises complete in all I see and come in contact with. "Amen, I love you my Lord."
Posted by: Diana Krutzik (Poy Sippi, WI) Posted: 4/17/2007 7:02:55 PM Congregation: First Lutheran ELCA Thanks for this article--I'm going to end up emailing this one to my mom, my sister, and at least a couple of my friends. Things have been falling apart at my house--I've never had a time where I've been more stressed out. The part that got through to me most strongly was the section talking about building walls between myself and others. I know I've done that many times in the past, and that God can help me break down those walls now.
Posted by: Michelle (Roseville, MN) Posted: 4/13/2007 10:50:09 PM Congregation: Roseville Lutheran Amen to the article. What has helped me is making use of an ancient spiritual discipline, Lectio Divina, prayerfully reading the scriptures. I can use my imagination and have come to cherish my special time together with the Lord.

Posted by: Bonnie Kay Baldwin (Scarville, IA) Posted: 4/6/2007 1:29:05 AM Congregation: One In Christ Parish Even with a Quiet Time in the AM when I read "Word in Season" and "Christ in Our Home," sometimes I need to take the time to write a letter to my Abba Father/Amma Mama about how I'm stressed. I write, wait, then write what I hear God's spirit saying to my spirit. The answer always begins, "I hear you. I love you!" And my soul begins to soak up God's presence in my life, right where I am.

Women and
water:
let's begin
At the 2005 Triennial
Convention, delegates took action that asked Women of the
ELCA to promote awareness on water issues and encouraged
synodical women’s organizations to make awareness of local
and regional water issues a priority.
To learn more about this important action and how you
can get involved, visit
Women of the ELCA's
